72 Hours at the Aenea Resort - Reifnitz, Austria

Feeling of a seaside getaway in the southern heart of Austria? Then it's your time to discover the Aenea Resort on the southern coast of Lake Wörth.

We stayed there in September and we can highly recommend this little heaven in Carinthia. The design is superb and the architecture simply stunning. A kind of castle with branded furniture, including Minotti, Molteni and Duravit. The suites (they only have suites - all the same category) are super-spacious and boast a magnificent view over the dazzling lake. The bathrooms are super cool and it seems to be designed by Philippe Starck. The toiletries were by Korres, an apothecary from Athens, Greece. The beds are not the most heavenly ones, as they are at least 40 cm high (not 55 - 60 cm like Four Seasons, Westin, Mariott) - but as mentioned it is Minotti! So who cares about low beds if they fit into the complete design of the hotel?

Before a perfect sleep, it all comes to dining! The restaurant: Uh, yes it was an experience at itself. The sophisticated atmosphere combined with the excellent dishes and perfect service, were well worth the high prices.

The breakfast was magnificent as well. Not only because it was served on the lake view terrace, also because it was our first breakfast to be à la carte! The service was fast and they did bring everything you want.

The outdoor pool is nothing special, as the fitness center on the backside of the hotel. To be honest, we did prefer to visit the rooftop spa with infinity-edge pool and panorama sauna! Durin the day we just relaxed on the hotel's own dock with direct access to the Lake, which is really warm in late summer!

So if you are looking for a prefect hideaway in the south of Austria, find yourself in the Aenea.

Suites starting from 350 Euros up to 550 Euros in July and August!
