A Weekend at Address Beach Resort, Dubai

Dubai is the city that is probably changing the quickest in the world right now. Every time we come to this part of the Arabian peninsula, it is a blast to see what has changed: new hotels, new concepts, and brand new places to explore.

This time we had the chance to visit the stunning Address Beach Resort in the marina area of Dubai. The property is located close to the Palm and surrounded by five-starred hotels. However, this building is definitely standing out. Its seventy-seven floors are split into two main towers which are connected on top with an amazing spa and pool area.

Entering the huge and bright lobby you immediately feel the hype of the place. Lots of sunlight will bring the big foyer to a special shine which is even topped by the view to the Arabian Gulf. The colours and decorations were all perfectly matching. Light blue combined with beautiful beige tones. At the reception, we were warmly welcomed and could check in early which was more than comfortable.

We had a deluxe sea view room on the seventh floor with a prime view over the Ferris wheel and the Palm - a quite unique view for a Dubai property. The rooms are generously designed with lots of sunlight. A huge bathroom with a bathtub, rain shower and double vanities all staffed with Lorenzo Villoresi amenities - which is definitely one of our favourite brands. The Bedroom was beautifully designed with a heavenly king-size bed, lovely art pieces, a small couch and working area in front of the big window front. So all in all it really is a place to feel at home. Even if you usually are not going to spend plenty of time in the hotel room in Dubai, we really loved to relax and hang out there. A small detail was the „Address“ branded Teddy bear which they prepared for us as a gift.

After checking out our room, we headed down to the main pool and beach area. Even if it was pretty huge with three pools and a separate area for the kids, it was well planned to have your privacy and chill out after a day of sightseeing or shopping. Under the shades of palm trees or next to the calm waterfall, you could either just hang out or chill with a shisha or some snacks. We passed by the pools and went down to the private beach club where the staff already waited for us to prepare the sunbeds with fresh towels and ice-cold water.

When you get hungry at the beach, the best place for a good meal is „the Grill“ restaurant. We had lunch on our first day with fresh juices and fruity cocktails. To eat we had amazing scallops with ravioli and a deep-fried burrata with a delicious tomato salad and a delicious spicy beef tartare. But the desert was definitely the highlight, fresh fruits and white chocolate scallops served on smoking dry ice.

And now to the best part of the hotel. The stunning infinity pool! The one at Address Beach Resort is even higher and larger than the famous infinity pool on top of „Marina Bay Sands“ in Singapore. And the best part: it is not that crowded as in Singapore. Plenty of staff is making sure that everyone will have the best time of their holidays. They serve you fresh water and small delights plus on top of that, you could order sushi and their signature cocktails. We really loved it up there because on the seventy-seventh floor it wasn’t as hot as down on the beach - a fresh ocean breeze made everything even more perfect. Around six o’clock in the evening, primetime began. For sure one of the most impressive sunsets, we have ever seen. The rooftop bar next to the pool with small niches in the pool and private areas for small parties is worth a visit - especially if you want to enjoy Dubai at its finest. On the floor below the pool, you can find the spa and gym area where you could work out or just get a massage with the view over Dubai or the marina.

In the evening we had a reservation at „Li’Brasil“ the Brazilian restaurant next to the lobby. With different areas and big round tables, everyone really had their privacy. Thanks to a live DJ and a wide variety of Caipirinhas and other drinks, the vibe was really unique. The Food was mouth-watering - we had plenty of Brazilian specialities to share like a pineapple avocado salad, a tuna tartare or a Cale and pomegranate salad. The main course was fresh Asado filet medium rare with potatoes. So what I really want to mention is that they really create the perfect vibe at any time. You really want to stay there forever. Especially at night when the DJ plays good songs and you have your drinks next to your shisha. It’s the perfect place to forget all the stress and work and just enjoy the time.
