Limousine-Check: Lisbon Limousine

Jetting ahead from Berlin to Lisbon, we arrived on time at the Lisbon Airport and we were already expected by our driver from Lisbon Limousines. After a while we were already sitting in our air-conditioned S-Class Mercedes on our way to Lapa Palace. We felt our driver had a good knowledge about the city and the sights. 

On our second day in Lisbon (we arrived Friday) we were doing a half day tour with the S-Class. As the most prestigious car of Lisbon Limousines, this vehicle is truly luxurious and offering plenty of space - not to foget the comfortably soft seats and pillows. We started the tour in front of our hotel - the driver and the tour guide were there exactely on time - and continued straight forward to Belem, where we visited all famous sights. This means passing by the sailors monument, the Tower of Belem, the Monastery with its massive cathedrale and of course a stop at the famous shop to taste the worldclass Pasteis de Belem - a pastry especially made here and believe us it is really worth going there! 

Our next stop was a wonderful view point on top of Lisbon near the Al Femma district. This place is way better than the castle hill as it is free there (the castle plus view costs 8 euros) and the view faces the castle, river and old town! Afterwards we continued to the wonderful Pantheon where the grave of Vasco da Gama is - and it is truly wonderful. We went up the staircase and from there we could gather again a breath-taking view of the river and the castle hill. Due to the fact that we wanted to visit the Expo quater, our driver drove us there and our wonderful private guided tour of Lisbon ended.

On Monday morning we were picked up by Joaquim - the CEO of Lisbon Limousines and had the pleasure to experience the spacious Mercedes van as we had slightly too big suitcases - who has not when travelling for four weeks ;-)! It was a truly luxurious experience in Lisbon and made our stay in the wonderful capital of Portugal unforgetable. A very special thanks to Lisbon Limousines - we can highly recommend Portugal's oldest Limousine company, they have really the best knowledge on the city and the country!
