Restaurant-Check: Baltho Küche, Zurich

Nestled in the wonderful and charming old town of Zurich there is the very new hotel Marktgasse. The hotel provides two restaurants, offering the choice between the “deli casual” restaurant which offers delicious and fresh stuff to enjoy at the bistro or to take away and the second restaurant called “Baltho kitchen".

This time we were for something more fancy and chose the Baltho. Compared to the delish bar, which offers self-service and all-day dining, you have service on your place and the server was very nice and attentive. After we were settled he handed us the menu and informed us of the daily recommendation.

My colleagues Daniel (Mr Travel Executive), Noelle (our new Lifestyle Blogger) and me had the choice of four starters and six main courses as well as the daily recommendation, which was Daniels choice: a very delicious pumpkin soup.

Noelle and I didn’t order a starter and we therefore had to wait for the main course which have been a very very good burger (I know what I am talking about because when I was in the US I ate plenty of them ;) )and buratta cheese ravioli with cherry tomatoes. The main course of Daniel was the seafood risotto, which I found a little bit undercooked although very lovely. However we all were very convinced of the restaurant concept and the food! Definitely a new place to be in Zurich!

Our lunch at Hotel Marktgasse was sponsored by the Manager Mr Gerber as well as the overnight stay. However this expresses the own opinion of Mr Food Executive and has not been influenced.
